We are currently seeking a skilled property accountant to join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued success, specifically in our Property Management division.
As our property accountant, you'll play a crucial role in our operations. Here's what you can expect:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Maintaining Complete and Accurate Records
- Assist with Departmental General Ledger Review
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Investigate and Resolve Billing Discrepancies
- Prepare monthly accounting records by compiling and analyzing account information
- Post financial transactions to accounts and prepare financial statements for clients
- Reconcile company's financial records to help ensure accuracy of financial statements
- Various office and client reports as identified
Job Qualifications and Skill Sets:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field (preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and accounting systems
- Appfolio experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook), with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks; experience with other tax preparation and accounting software
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Experience with property accounting preferred
- Detail-oriented and ability to prioritize
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Employment is subject to passing a background check.

Commercial real estate transactions offer the opportunity to work with different types of business clients and help them achieve their business goals as they start, grow or relocate. Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct research and analysis to identify potential commercial real estate clients and properties.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, landlords, and tenants.
- Manage and negotiate lease and sale agreements for commercial properties.
- Provide excellent customer service and guidance to clients throughout the transaction process.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure the success of team objectives.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and market conditions to advise clients accordingly.
Prerequisites:
- Active Massachusetts Real Estate Salesperson or Broker’s License.
- Minimum of two years real estate experience with a record of previous sales.
- Must be willing to gain a professional understanding of commercial leasing, specifically as it relates to Retail, Office, Medical and Industrial property types.
- Familiarity with Eastern Massachusetts.
- Critical thinking negotiation skills with excellent time management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to understand current market conditions.
- Ability to recognize sales, development and financial trends as well as understand the benefits of off-market opportunities.
- Willingness to be involved in community functions, committees and actively network with local business owners and prospective landlords & tenants.
- Ability to attend bi-weekly sales meetings to share ideas and exchange information between other agents.
- Must be self-motivated with strong character, confidence and resourceful thinking.
- Desire to learn and grow in the commercial real estate industry.
- Property Management experience is a plus.
